A project for an imagined independent movie theater that has large comfy chairs and a gourmet menu. The idea was to create a brand that is friendly and comfortable while also being luxurious, enticing a larger audience to independent film.
The starting concept behind this design was to avoid the common pitfalls of movie theater design - projectors, films, reels, and the like. The eye design instead comes not from the supplies that make the movie, but the human factor involved in enjoying one.
Gold is chosen as the main color to establish luxury, with a calming blue and warm grey to cozy up with. The text keeps a consistent stroke weight to match the lines of the logo, and a slight Art Deco aesthetic that is familiar to theater branding.
Additional materials were created, including supplies like a popcorn bucket, and a website design.
